The proposed Outer Ring Rail corridor of about 392-420 kilometres is meant to connect towns around Hyderabad and decongest the existing railway network. However, the project has not yet been fully approved and the cost has already doubled to around Rs. 24,000 crore. This project is considered crucial for suburban rail expansion and freight diversion around Hyderabad. I request the hon. Minister to sanction the project as early as possible. Hon. Chairperson, Sir, some of the Important Railway Projects in the Telangana State are as follows. It is learnt that the Ministry of Railways has 17.03.2026 1434 proposed new railway line from Vikarabad to Krishna. DPR is completed for Rs. 2750 crore and sent to Railway Board for approval.
