Will the Minister of TRIBAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) the steps taken by the Government to strengthen service delivery in Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) areas in the country, State-wise including Dumka, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir under Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) alongwith the current status thereof in Shahdol Parliamentary Constituency; 11.12.2025 117 (b) the current status of Anganwadi Centers made functional under PM- JANMAN in PVTG areas in the country, State/UT-wise including the said regions/States; (c) the measures being taken to ensure effective delivery of services related to nutrition, health and Early Childhood Care and Education in PVTG areas, State- wise; (d) the details of the beneficiaries under the said scheme in Sidhi Parliamentary Constituency in Madhya Pradesh; (e) whether the Government proposes to implement any special scheme for the speedy construction of Anganwadi Centers/availability of human resources/establishment of permanent buildings for the said centers approved under PM-JANMAN in the country including Chatra Parliamentary Constituency in Jharkhand, Mahasamund Constituency in Chhattisgarh and Palghar district in Maharashtra and if so, the details thereof; and (f) the special initiatives taken/proposed to strengthen Anganwadi service to ensure regular nutrition supplies, increase access to maternal/child health services/setting up of mobile Anganwadi/mobile health units in PVTG areas, State-wise and district-wise? THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF TRIBAL AFFAIRS (SHRI DURGA DAS UIKEY): (a): On 15th November 2023, Hon'ble Prime Minister launched Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM JANMAN) for socio-economic development of 75 PVTG communities residing in 18 states including Dumka 11.12.2025 118 district, Jharkhand and one UT. The mission aims to provide basic facilities to improve their socio-economic conditions such as safe housing, clean drinking water and improved access to education, health and nutrition, road and telecom connectivity, electrification of unelectrified households and sustainable livelihood opportunities in 3 years. These objectives are being met through 11 interventions implemented by 9-line Ministries. UT of Jammu and Kashmir has no identified PVTGs. The details of benefits given under PM JANMAN in Dumka district, Jharkhand and Anuppur, Katni, Shahdol and Umaria districts under Shahdol Parliamentary Constituency since its inception is given in Statement-I. (b): The status of Anganwadi Centers under PM JANMAN, State/UT-wise, being implemented by Ministry of Women and Child Development is given in Statement-II. (c), (e) and (f): Ministry of Women and Child Development has informed that under Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0, six services viz. Supplementary Nutrition (SNP), Pre-school Non-formal Education, Nutrition & Health Education, Immunization, Health Check-up and Referral Services are related to health and are provided through National Health Mission (NHM) and Public Health Infrastructure of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 is a Centrally Sponsored mission, where the responsibility for implementation of various components lies with States and UTs. This mission is a universal self-selecting umbrella scheme where there are no entry barriers for any beneficiary to register and receive 11.12.2025 119 services. This mission is being implemented across the country including PVTG areas. The status of Anganwadi Centers in districts under Chatra Parliamentary Constituency in Jharkhand, Mahasamund Constituency in Chhattisgarh and Palghar district in Maharashtra under PM JANMAN is given in Statement-III. The status of mobile medical units under PM JANMAN, State/UT-wise, being implemented by Ministry of Health and Family is given in Statement-IV. (d): Based on the data captured by States / UTs for habitation level data collection exercise, the number of PVTGs in Shahdol, Sidhi and Singrauli under Sidhi Parliamentary Constituency are estimated to be around 2 lakhs. The actual number beneficiaries to be covered under the abhiyan is subjected to eligibility criteria of specific guidelines of concerned interventions as per norms approved.
