There is also considerable concern and confusion among the Matua community of West Bengal and Malda, many of whom are not included in the 2002 voter list. These are people who immigrated from Bangladesh after 2002. They have been promised by the BJP Government 10.12.2025 1196 that under CAA, they will be made citizens.
